My doctor's office called to confirm my c section date and time, and my section will be at 1:30 in the afternoon. I figured it would be first thing in the morning. Does this mean I will have to fast all day long?
Each hospital has a different policy but most want your stomach to be empty of solid food for 8-12 hours and empty of liquids for 6 hours (I used to be a sedation nurse). So it's possible to have a late night meal and then have juice, broth, jello at like 6am.
My c/s is 130p too. I have to be at the hospital at 1130a.
When I went to the hosp to have my son I got to eat a bagel at like 11pm then nothing but ice chips after that just incase I had to have a Csection (which I did have to do) So I would think probably just liquids?? Can I ask why you ladies are having a c/s?? Did you have one before and choosing to have another?? I have a choice to make myself if I want to try VBAC or schedule a c/s so just curious GL!!

Beware: my csection was scheduled for 12:00. I couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight, and my csection didn't actually happen until 4:45 or so. Baby girl was born at 5:23. Maybe see if you could reschedule for first thing in the morning.

I had a terrible 4th degree episiotomy with my son three years ago. It was a really bad recovery (c ouldn't use toilet paper for 10 weeks after having him) and I've had an awful time with the after effects from it this pregnancy. My doctor and I have decided that a c section would be a wise choice for me this go round. After careful consideration, I decided to schedule one. Things are currently so bad in that area that I can't even sit in certain positions.

I had a c/s last time and am choosing to do it again. I had a very bad labor experience - one of my daughters died during labor so I am very scared to repeat that again. I would pretty much be an emotional wreck the entire time.

I just called and they said the 7:30 for that day is taken. She said I would be able to eat breakfast and then be at the hospital by 11.
My C-section was scheduled for 1:00 in the afternoon as well. I was told that I was not allowed to eat anything past midnight the night before. And the funny thing is my husband begged me to eat something around 11:45 that night. Good thing I did not because I was apparently already in labor and ended up in the hospital by 4am and 6cm dilated. My LO was breech so I had to have the C-section and the first thing they asked me was when did I last eat. Luckily it was 7:00pm that night so I ended up having my C-section a 6 that morning.
My c/s was at 5 pm, I couldn't have anything, not even water, for 8 hours prior. I got up and ate that morning, went back to bed and took my time getting ready.

My c/s was scheduled for 2pm, and I wasn't allowed to eat after midnight, and no water after 7am.
