My son is allergic to wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts/tree nuts. Any ideas for breakfast ideas? He's kind of sensitive to soy right now--so staying away from that as well.
We have tried the waffles that are allergy free (he's not a fan)
I made pancakes and froze them
Turkey sausage that is allergy free
Canadian bacon
dried cereal (he doesn't like his rice milk in the cereal)
He's not a fan of fruit in the mornings for some reason
He just keeps saying how hungry he is--but I can't find anything that is super filling for him.

Re: Looking for toddler breakfast ideas---
1 minute plain Oatmeal with applesauce, a pinch of brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of sugar. Sometimes we will add raisins.
Have you tried offering maple syrup or apple butter to dip the waffles in? That helps us a lot too.
Good luck!
my LO is 2 and he's still on oatmeal every morning. Here are some other ideas.
Ians french toast (it's top 8 free and pretty good, just really sweet so he might be bouncing off the walls after lol)
Try pancakes again and then taking two and putting jelly in between and making it like a sandwich. Just a different look. (or take one and cut it in half)
not sure if there is a wheat free crape out there, but there has to be! maybe a GF crape with some sunbutter and jelly and banana and rolled up. My son loves this! (we use almond butter though or sometimes just jelly and banana)
Also, Chex sandwiches - can you get the GF chex cereal and put jelly and sunbutter between each one? these are a PITA to make but it's nice to see them eat it. i have a pic of it on my blog but it's blocked at work so i can't link you to it.
You can also make GF rice krispy cereal balls.. mix sunbutter and jelly together, take a small spoon or fork and take some of the mixture and then dip it into the rice krispies and make little balls out of them -yum! DS loves this.
most of these are snacks but you can totally get away with it for breakfast.
OMG I love your little rice krispy and chex ideas--very clever! He sure loves his sunbutter. I will try your ideas for sure. I have tried the french toast sticks--they are ok--but he doesn't love them, despite the option of dipping--go figure.

Notes:
We do LOTS of oatmeal.
GLutano brand makes some cereal bars that fit with your allergy list and are actually pretty darn good. If your son likes them you can order in bulk on AMazon to save $.
I like the Vans waffles/french toast better than the Ians' ones. We use those a lot.
Maybe try a different pancake recipe? I've made chocolate chips ones, apple ones, pumpkin ones etc. to keep things fun. Some day I might try to make them in fun shapes (use a metal cookie cutter and pour the batter in).
I've found a few good recipes for safe muffins. DS doesn't love sweet stuff- but I do so I usually make a big batch and freeze them.
Ener-g makes English muffins that are safe. I'll serve those with Earth's best and some jelly or sunbutter. (can also turn them into safe pizzas with diya cheese for a quick dinner).
Keep in mind you don't have to only offer breakfasty foods. My youngest likes sandwiches for b'fast. My oldest prefers snacky type foods.
This. You could give him a pot roast and veggies for breakfast. Who says you can't do dinner for breakfast? After all, I often do breakfast foods for dinner!
I agree. If you're going for filling and eggs are out, it's hard to beat meat. Some ideas:
- make-ahead meatballs or meat loaf (I make it with finely chopped veggies)
- safe breakfast sausage (or you can make up your own ie, turkey, apple & herb)
- poached or sauteed chicken tenderloins with a dip (ie, honey mustard)
- any type of safe sliced meat (ie, turkey breast rolled up with avocado & tomato)
- sauteed ground beef seasoned with mexican-style spices and served with avocado, chopped tomato and/or salsa... you could serve this with some corn chips.
And potatoes are pretty tasty with those sort of things. DD loves steamed or roasted sweet potatoes with butter & cinnamon (you could sub coconut butter or oil for the dairy). Or a potato hash with onions & herbs is tasty.
