quick rant....

Sorry ladies...I've gotta rant for a second. I've held back from making a rant post because those got to be daily but geesh!

I feel like I should preface this by saying that I feel bad about complaining about her because I always think about those that don't have a mom in their lives but mine just gets way out of control way too often.

My mom....I keep her at arm's length at all times. I love living in the area because she can drive in, stay for an hour, and leave! This guarantee's that she will never stay the night- unless I have a kid! She is annoying and high maintenance. She has forged my name on loans and just pulled out all stops on more than 1 occasion- just a brief history.

So I get PG....she feels the need to talk to me on the phone or hear from me DAILY...no ma'am! I could barely deal with hearing from you weekly- we will not make it daily. I usually just ignore her stupid@ss questions and texts. 9 times out of 10 they are things I have told her a million times before or just pointless.  I think she is secretly running for Mother of the Year and she feels that I am the swing vote! blah!

She has recently heard of FB and asks why I am not friends with one of her friends....because I deleted the woman! Well then crazy mom wants me to send friend another friend request so she can see my profile- no!

Do I know what outfit I am bringing baby home in and if so, can I send her a picture? She won't get the picture because she never seems to get my text pictures- so no, I won't do that either woman!

She has every other weekend off with her job so she informed me 2 days in advance that she was planning to come in the weekend of Oct 1 to see me...ummm....no, you're not- I have plans and you need to ask! Blah! So what did that do- she's coming in this Saturday or Sunday. Yay...not so much! She wants me to go to Carter's with her to get the baby summer preemie clothes because since I am dilated to a 2 she is, clearly, going to come tomorrow and it will be too hot for any of the clothes my crazy mom has purchased. Woman...she isn't wearing anything you bought home- I'll bring her home naked if I want to...my child, leave me alone!  Oh and she keeps referencing "what are we going to put her in when we bring her home?"....ummmm....she better be talking about "me and BF" type of we but "she and I" type of we ain't going to cut it!

Ok...that's all...for now. I'm just fuming thinking about her. She is right now texting me non stop asking if Saturday or Sunday would work better for me for her to come...Umm...sorry woman, my a/c isn't working so please forgive me if your unwanted trip to see me is not a priority!

Sometimes moms suck.  I have experience with the other end of the spectrum.  She ignores me and my kids and then when we do see her, she tells DS things that hint that it's my fault she doesn't see them - pisses me off.  I always drive them to see her and she never comes to us.  She's never been to any of their birthday parties, goes to all of my nieces' and nephews'.  She takes my sister out to lunch and helps her clean her house and she won't even call me if she is 5 minutes from my house at Bu ybu ybaby.  She lives in Gruene and apparently Kyle is an okay drive to see my sister, but S. Austin is way too far (insert eye roll).  The examples of her suckiness go on and on.  Neither of our situations are ideal and I'm sorry you're dealing with this.  Unfortunately, I see no end in sight for either of us, so hugs!

Wow, I'm ranting a lot about my mom today!  Sorry girls.

can i just add to this post a little rant about my ILs? for the first 2 weeks, they visited literally every other day (who's counting?). i got a 5 day break. today, they came by to just drop something off and now they're holding my kid while dozing on my couch. FIL is snoring. MIL has her eyes closed, but i can't tell if she's necessarily sleeping. they've been here for almost 2 hours. i'd like my day back, please.
