If you have 3 kids, what was the deciding factor?

My girls' are 16 months apart.  Up until 3 months ago, I didn't think I wanted anymore kids.  Now I have baby fever bad.  DH and I have talked about it, but we can't come to a conclusion. We've done the whole pros and cons, but we just can't say yes or no.  So my question is, what were the reason you TTC # 3?

I just *knew* our family wasn't complete.  DH was a little more on the fence about it than I was, but came to the conclusion that someday he might regret not having another child, but there was no way he would ever regret having another child.  So, here we are.

DH and I have always wanted a big family, but we agreed to take it "one child at a time"  I think when we are done we will know it.  I do agree with PP that we didn't want to live with regret if we didn't have another and later had so many "what ifs"

Thats how we feel. I dont think we can say we are done until we both feel we are. I had someone ask if we are done after 3 today, I said I have no clue! in my mind, probably not.

I always knew I didnt want just two kids, maybe since Im one of 3.

We always said we wanted four or five kids; our family didn't feel complete. After DD#2 (with a 2 1/2 yr battle with secondary infertility), we weren't sure our dream would be realized but we have been blessed and we hope our 4th arrives safe and sound.

still on the fence - after a hard night i say i'm dobe with 2, but i am sure the baby fever will hit again around 6-12 months!

We did not feel like our family is complete...and we are doing the whole take each child as they come kind of thing...and then decide after LO is a year if we want another.  I would like 4...but we will see how 3 feels.  Which can be frustrating when you have tons of people emailing and messaging you if they can have all your baby clothes...ha

Seriously though, he was happy with just two, but knew I wanted at least 3, possibly four. It wasn't hard to convince him since I do the majority of the child rearing.

DH knew I wanted three before we got married and we agreed on three then. We'll see how three goes when that time comes but right now I'm hoping I can talk him into more in the future!

DH & I both come from families of 3, I still want 4 kids but he was leaning towards just having 2 so 3 is our "compromise" for now We weren't planning on #3 for a bit longer though so the REAL deciding factor was a birth control pill FAIL. LOL!
