I was opening and exploring my new diaper trial kit (still nervous about it all), can't figure out how the insert goes in most of them... one has an insert that tucks in... but it's attached at the end? So it doesn't actually come out, so figuring that out.
My main question now is though, there was a thing in the package and it looks like a dryer sheet but doesn't smell. It's long, maybe 2 feet but is perforated but not torn apart. Funny thing is, I don't know if it goes along with a diaper or is part of the packaging... /
you're probably feeling sorry for Hadley right about now...lol
Re: What is this?
The sheets are flushable liners. I haven't used any yet, but I'll give them a try when we start solids. They go right between baby and the diaper, and they need to be tossed/flushed when the diaper gets dirty/wet. Although I've heard if it's just pee, you can rinse in the sink, dry, and reuse.

Sounds like the dryer sheet thing is a liner to make removing poo easier. Put it in the diaper, then lift it and the poo out to throw away.
The diaper with the long insert probably folds into the pocket of the diaper. You won't have to keep track of the insert and it's easy to add more absorbancy if you need. Is it a TotsBots?

It sure doesn't feel very soft and as if it would be very comfortable against her skin, but I guess that makes sense.
Yes, the totbots are the one with the fold out liner. I understand now that you can fold that in the pocket, but if you didn't want the extra absorbancy... you leave it hanging out? Lol, guess with those diapers, you just get lots of absorbancy...
Too much absorbancy is good, too little is bad.
