in Babies: 6 - 9 Months

...lower the crib mattress?  When they can sit up independently or stand up?  My LO just started pulling herself into a sit and I have found her that way in the crib yesterday and today.  I am thinking it might be time to lower the mattress.

    I believe most manufacturers suggest you lower it by 7 months. Better to do it too soon than to wake up to a baby crawling out of the crib.

    The General rule for me was, if you question if it's time, go ahead and do it. The first time I found her attempting to pull up..even to her knees.. I lowered it.

    We did it a month ago when DS started kicking the mobile base. He's a long way from being able to reach it, so we didn't want to take it down just yet.

    Our crib has three heights. We lowered it to the middle one when DS could sit unsupported, around 5 months. Just yesterday we lowered it to the bottom when I went in to get him from his nap and found him standing up.
