Not expecting it today (m/c)

After taking misoprostol this weekend, I thought the worst was over and I past everything.  I was wrong!  This morning, 3am, I woke up with the worst pain I could've ever imagined.  Woke DH up because I didn't know what was wrong.  He was ready to take me to the ER because he had never seen me in that much pain before.  Luckily before getting in the car, I passed a huge clot (sorry tmi) which I assume now was the sac.  Called my RE and he said it was completely normal for it to happen this late after the misoprostol.  Was not ready for this when I thought it was over already.  Thank God for vicodin.

Went in for an u/s this morning and everything is out.  Now I just have to wait for AF to start IUI#6.  How long did it take AF to show if you took misoprostol?  Hope you ladies are having a better Tuesday!

I'm really sorry for your loss and having to go through this.  I also took Misoprostol because of a missed miscarriage.  I took it on Oct. 1st and I am actually still spotting but the worst of it is over.  That first few days I had terrible cramping and pain and passed several large clots.  I tried taking a vicodin but it just made me sick to my stomach!  I'm glad that you don't have to take a second dose and that everything cleared the first time.  I hope it doesn't take too long for AF to show for you.  Hugs!

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I just took this medication on Wednesday and I'm worried I haven't passed everything and will still need a d&c.  I find out tomorrow!  I was also wondering how long it took people to get AF.

Huge hugs! I took misoprostol after my missed m/c at 10 weeks. 2 days later u/s showed I passed everything except that I still had a lot of blood in the lining of my uterus. I bled really heavily for 5 more days, then tapered off light flow for another week. My first AF came 30 days after starting misoprostol, and prior to pg, my cycles were 28-31 days, so that's considered regular for me. FX AF comes soon for you so that you can move forward.
