I'm working on N's musical education. He knows that fat bottomed girls make the rockin' world go round and that when you rock and roll all night, you party everyday.
And he likes Recess Monkey. Check out their videos on youtube.
We listen to a lot of regular music (with no bad words for M to repeat), but some of the kid cd's we have are lots of Raffi, Disney, Backyardagains, Recess Monkeys. We also like the disney channel on sirius.

DD loves 'regular' music in the car and on the digital music channels on TV, also. She does have a couple of CDs; her favorite is Barenaked Ladies' 'SnackTime'.
Thanks ladies, we mostly listen to my music too. Just wanted something for her to rock out to once in awhile. Turns out the random Tenacious D on my I-pod is NOT toddler appropriate.

Yep: They might be Giants and "Snack time" by BNL. Also Sandra Boynton has CD"s that DS LOVES! They come with books and he is to the age where he follows along.
BIG Brother born 10/19/07
little Brother born 1/31/12
Recess Monkey is a fun kiddo band. Also, try out Pandora - I have stations for my kiddo (You can start out with Recess Monkey or Caspar, whatever kid band you like) and they'll play a ton of similar bands, a good way to find other bands you haven't heard of.
Audrey loves Taylor Swift, but she knows all DH's techno and soccer songs too. She is a little sponge when it comes to music. Her friend loves Justin Bieber so she likes saying his name, but doesn't know who he is. lol
Kids mucis, my favorite is Hap Palmer. Great CD's we've listened to at library story time and had to check some out. We have since downloaded CD's and love them!
Re: toddler music
They Might Be Giants :-)
But right now it all Sesame Street with DD. :-)

The second one is probably her favorite.

This for us too, but no B. Spears in this house.

Eric Ode
We also have the CDs that accompany the Signing Time DVDs - this is what we listen to most often.
I suck too. Tristen loves Jason Alden, Jake Owen, and ACDC.

I third at the suckage. Collin has never listened to kid music. Journey, Boston, Foreigner, a little Celine and Beyonce ... He's diverse like that.
