Two Under 2

Energy...

I'm 36 weeks pg and starting to feel really drained... I can't wait to have DD #2 so my body isn't exhausted, but want her to stay in longer at the same time because I know I won't be getting much sleep for a couple months! When did you finally get your energy back??? I feel like I'm going to be drained until DD #2 is one!

Re: Energy...

  • DS was a crap sleeper and napper until he was 9 months old. I think I just started getting my energy back and then I got pregnant again.

I'm SO ready to be done being pregnant but not feeling ready to actually have a 3rd baby here!

  • DD is 16 months, little man is 3 months. I still get through every day in a bit of a daze. The first 6 weeks were hell. After that I'm not sire if it got better or my body just adjusted. Lol. It's not horrible, but I wouldn't do it again. Haha! I feel like I'm in a routine now. Both of my kids are schedule babies. They sleep great so I'm pretty lucky. We do what we gotta do. We're moms.

  • My DC are great sleepers and both have always been so I was back up to full steam pretty quickly after DS was born.  I had a c-section and was out and about after the first week home.  I only had one night feeding from the time we got home until about 8 weeks when he dropped that and slept 8--10 hour stretches.  In all I would say we have had about 5 rough nights where they were both up at the same time.  Not bad for 5 months imo.

    Guess that's why I am considering a 3rd already ;)
