Baby Names

name question

Dh and I always talk about baby names, we are TTC and Dh likes the idea of LO#2 if a boy being called Joey. Joey wouldnt be his first/middle name it would have to be a J name that could have Joey as the nickname.

Also, is this wrong to do bc we have a son, Jace Paul. Paul after DH(Joseph Paul). I guess I just feel like if you are going to have a Jr. it should be the first son. I know that having Joey as the nickname isnt a Jr. I just am unsure of the idea.

Give me you J name that can have Joey as a nickname please!

Re: name question

  • I know two brothers and the youngest is named after the father. Reason - the mom really did not want to name the kids after the father, but broke down after the second one turned out to be a boy. The guys don't care at all (they are in their 40's now), but people assume the one named after the father is older.

Joseph and Joel are the only 2 names I can think of for a nn of Joey.

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • I would be uncomfortable using Joey for a second son since Joseph is your DH's name.

Names that could use Joey - Jonah, Jonas

  • I know a person whose first name is Giovanni and goes by Joey (may be spelled differently though). I dont think your second son should be a Jr. though.
