What do you do when..

Your LO is playing in their bouncy or with their favorite activity toy? Most of the time I play with her but a few times I will google and go online, check email ect...I feel bad for doing that dont ask me why, is that silly or what??

Re: What do you do when..

  • I wouldn't feel bad it's not like you are just leaving her to cry to check your email.  She is happy and entertained you have to be able to get somethings done while she is awake and not just wait for nap time.

  • It's good for babies to have some independent play time.  You don't need to entertain them or shower them with attention every minute they are awake--in fact it's better if you don't IMO.

  • I relish the opportunity to get things done!

I think the ability to play and entertain yourself is crucial so I don't feel bad letting her play with her toys by herself.

  • I clean, do laundry, and sometimes sit on my @ss and play on Facebook. Stick out tongue

If he is happy in his bouncy I don't feel bad. He'll tell me when he's had enough.

  • Not silly, I feel bad sometimes for leaving her there while I throw in laundry, vacuum, pay a bill, etc.  Like I am not spending enough time with her.  I do talk to her and keep popping my head in to check on her though.  She seems too interested in the toys lately and doesn't seem to care if I am there or not.  Stick out tongue

ah this exactly. his little bouncer is next to me but he plays by himself most of the time.
