Is it bad that I want another girl?

I can't imagine having a son after having DD.  I'm secretly hoping this one is another girl... also because it will save us on buying stuff.  Is that bad?

Re: Is it bad that I want another girl?

  • No.  However I THOUGHT I wanted another girl but DS is everything that I didn't think I wanted.  I love having a boy.

I thought I would want #3 (when the time comes) to be a girl (love the idea of sisters) but now I also love the idea of brothers...

  • Well, I'm with you, so if it's bad, I am bad too ;) Not so much because it will save me $$ (it won't because the 2nd is being born in a completely different season) but because I just want to have 2 girls and for them to have the sisterly bond. For all these reasons, it's probably a boy and I am going to rot in hell.

  • You can't help what you want.  I think it is only bad if you can't accept a boy.
  • I don't know if it's bad, but I'm right there with you. If we have another I definitely want another girl! :)

  • I'll admit, I totally wanted another girl.

But I would have been happy with a boy too. I think you just love what you have, so of course you want another one. Does that make sense?

  • I would have loved to have two girls.  But DS came along and I couldn't imagine it any other way!

  • Nope.  Girls are the best! Stick out tongue
  • nope....boys are scary..the boy parts....Mitch's still scare me..I never know what to do, how to wipe and clean in baths.

Girls are much easier.....and sisters.. cutest thing ever.

  • Not bad at all. I think those that say they didn't even have a little bit of a preference are big fat liars.
  • If I am completely honest with myself, I want another girl, too. One of each would be wonderful and I know I would truly be happy with it, but having grown up with a brother, I love the idea of being part of a sister relationship.
  • I'm with you on this one. After having DD, I can't imagine having a boy and would love to have a girl. I know if I have a boy, I'll forget I ever felt this way and will love him to pieces, but I am hoping for another girl.
