We pierced ours at 6 mos when Pedi would do it. For us it's cultural, and we also didn?t believe in allowing her as a getting older privilege/ responsibility.

I did consider piercing as a newborn, however since I work in my church nursery once a month I've seen little girls a little too interested in the piercings on their peers, ouch...

This is exactly my reason. DH and his family wouldn't stop talking about piercing her ears when she was a newborn. I said HELL TO THE NO.
Same here..I have a boy..but lets face it..he will probably want his ears/tongue/nose face pierced at some point...
