Today I put together all the crib bedding and decor for the nursery. And to be honest i don't think i like the mobile that matches our theme.
I know I've seen a ton of homemade mobiles on here and was wondering if anyone had any directions or tips for making one. I know I can make one but could just use some guidance. I would love to just make a simple one that hangs for the baby to look at. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Re: Those who have made their own mobile....
I made this myself. Got some scrapbooking paper, and a circle cutter from a craft store. Its hanging on a small embroidering hoop decorated with a peice of ribbon. Fishing line hooks it to a fishing swivel, and it spins nearly by itself b/c its so light.
I made one out of the pieces from our "diaper cake" that my BF made for our shower. I simply took all the pieces and attached them to some fine wire that I had actually bought to make jewelry with my girls, added a few ribbons and attached each wire to the end of an old hand me down mobile arm. It doesn't match a "theme" for our room, but it is gender appropriate and special to us
I did the same with my mobile with scrapbook paper I used a circle paper punch I had, ribbon. fishing line and an embrodery hoop. Our theme is giraffes I found some wooden ones at michaels and attached 3 of them to the middle.
