Anyone get freaked out when they have their laptop on their lap? I try not to do it, even though I read it cant harm the baby, but sometimes I find myself having in on my lap esp if im in bed! I cant help but think that it can not be good. I really dont care what I read, I try not to do it!
Re: Laptop on Lap
Nope. I always have mine on my lap.
I put it on my boobs if that makes you feel better. lol
When I'm typing I prop it against my hips.
Can I ask why you're worried about it? If your lappy is getting hot enough to make you worry you probably need to take it in to get looked at.
Mine's on my lap right now.
We have one of those lap-desk thingies for it (DH thinks it's too warm, I don't, but it keeps it from sliding off, so...). The only time it bothers me is if it has been on there a long time & feels heavy on my belly when I'm already queasy. Seriously though, your baby is floating around in amniotic fluid, tucked away in your uterus below your pelvic bone right now. It is totally fine.

Its fine to stand by a microwave now, unless it was made in like the 1950s. Technology has come a LONG way...
I have been worried about the exact same thing for a couple of weeks now. I don't think it's the best place for your laptop, with all the avoiding jacuzzis and hot baths because of the potential risk to the baby from the heat.
I try to put a pillow underneath it now, when I remember to.
4/25/12 ~ Our angel, Persephone James, is here!
I rest mine on my lap, but I do try to make an effort to put it on a table. They do emit a small amount of radiation, heat, and the wireless internet thing. As far as I'm concerned, its ok on my lap, they do'nt come with any crazy warnings of use with pregnancy, I just probably won't rest it over the baby. Smart phones too, which do come with a warning.... I don't drive with it rested in my crotch anymore, lol.
