I really didn't want to give DD bangs but she won't leave anything in her hair all day. Dh would pick her up from daycare and her hair was all in her face, so I decided to get them cut. I actually don't mind them and think she looks pretty cute with them. I do want her to grow them out when she will leave bows in her hair, though.
Re: I'm surprised at how many don't like bangs on children!
Your DD is so cute with her bangs.
Generally, I don't like bangs (period).
I do not like them either, yet tried them with Audrey...but they are being grown out now...She's anti-barrette too. But I'm thinking longer will still be better.
I get why people have them for their kids. I just know I hated them as a kid.
I did NOT want DD to have bangs, but she also won't keep anything in her hair and I was sick of her hair being in her face, so I got her haircut last Friday. She does look cute with them, but as soon as she's old enough to wear barretts without pulling them out, I'm growing them out.
I had bangs when I was a kid and I hated them, but I always thought it would be too much of a pain to grow them out. I finally did it senior year in college and it really was a PITA! I had to wear barretts and felt like a child. I don't want to do that to DD. If she wants to cut bangs when she's old enough to make that decision, that's fine, but I don't want her blaming me for the bangs she hates! LOL
~ Hoping to add to our family by adoption via Connecticut DCF. Application submitted on 2/4/14. First home visit on 6/23/14. Started class 11/17/14.~
I think little girls look adorable with bangs. I don't get why people don't like it so much! Doesn't my dd look cute ;-)
Maybe it's just my child, but it's been a month or longer, and we haven't had to get DD's trimmed yet
. I think it's funny that people think they're high maintenance.
