We aren't even TTC but I've just always been obsessed with names, especially girl names.  I find it really hard to narrow down just a few and then get DH to agree to them, so I feel like it takes a lot of planning ahead of time.  That's what we did with DS and I think we'll do it for each additional child.

So, which middle name for Margaret?  We'll call her Maggie and our last name is 2 syllables, starts with a B.

Margaret is kind of an old fashioned name and I am not a huge fan but I actually like it better when read with the middle name. I think you have some great reasons for your names too.

Normally, I'd never pick Ann as a middle name because it seems like a plain jane filler name. However, I think it does sound nice with Margaret and I think it would be nice to honor DH's mother.

Voted Margaret Josephine because I think Maggie Jo is an adorable nn. I actually really liked all of your options though, great work!

I chose Ann to honor your MIL.  Maybe you could do Annette or Annabelle, since you seem to like longer mns (I do too!).  Or Julianne, Lilian, etc. - where the Ann is at the end.  

I also have a crazy aunt Elizabeth and therefore have completely nixed any form of the name, unfortunately.  :-)

Margaret Anne is my name, so Ann is the only one thats sounds right to me

This is what I was going to say about the name Claire but I think that it sounds very nice with the name Margaret.
