So, we've finally gotten down to the crux of our CD stink issues. Our washing machine sucks. We just googled some of the problems we've been having, to find out we didn't do our research properly before we bought it. Our washer sucks. Tons of people out there with the smae problems we're having. The center agitator ruining clothes. I can't run just a rinse cycle, and no matter at what point of the cycle i check on the machine, there's never enough water in the drum.
As far as CDing, No matter what I do, we always have a musty smell leftover in the diaper. I thought it was just the synthetic material, but now i'm having the problem with OBV and CV as well.
We don't know what to do. Doing cloth laundry at the laundromat isn't a cost effective option. I'd hate to have to charge a new washer, because we don't have the money for a new one right now.
On the off chance we can sell our current washer to someone as stupid as we are, can you recommend your washing machine? We need a top loader with similar dimensions because we have space constraints (27 1/2" x 27").
Re: washing machine issues
I should have said - the one we are currently struggling with is a Kenmore Elite Oasis.

Usually Sears/Kenmore has a great service plan. At least a few years ago when we needed it for a used fridge we bought, and then for a clearance washer from them. Their service plan is why we almost always buy Kenmore. At the time we needed it (again this isn't a time of purchase warantee (why can't i spell that correctly?)) it was $200 for 2 years of "coverage", they would then cover service calls and any replacement parts up to the value of the machine, and if it was going to be more than the cost of the machine to repair then you got...i forget, an equivalent machine or $450 towards a new one. I think you can put the plan on your Sears card if you have one too.
Good Luck!

That's exactly what we were talking about. Something before energy efficiency () and water conservation. So, i called my mom, who doesn't have a very old washer, but it's certainly not near new either. Found out hers has a soak cycle, a rinse cycle and I choose the water level.
We're going to bring a load of diapers over to do a load and if it works, we're just trading.
