Can't I keep anything nice??? Vent inside

My dad is helping install a whole house water filter into our house. And I love him for helping. But I just caught him doing some work on the plumbing with while laying on my really expensive cushion for my mudroom storage bench. WTH. I had to yell at him and DH. Use a towel. Use my yoga mat. Don't dirty my beautiful new cushion with drain water and grease. Why are men stupid?

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    I hear ya. I love how handy Dh is, but you'd think he could be neater while he works on things.
    TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.
    IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
    Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
    IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
    IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
    ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer :(
    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    Ugh I felt just like this today and many times in the past few months. DS breaks anything and everything I cherish. My brand new iPad I waited forever for, because I wanted the 64 gig white one... Smashed. Luckily apple replaces one for free, but I flipped anyways. Today I got wedding pictures printed.... Stuck 2 on the fridge I don't have frames for yet. He has been climbing on the counters lately..got hold of them and crumpled them. It seems anything new he has to destroy. I love him more than any of that stuff obviously, but it does get disheartening..... I feel like nothing is sacred.

    Some men are trainable. Eventually.  When my Dad was 70 he was shoveling some landscape material out of the bed of his truck and fell and broke his femur.  Fortunately he had his cell phone and was able to call for help.  The paramedics went inside the house and got a cushion of off my step mom's new couch to use to stabilize his leg.  Dad told them to go back inside and get the dogs bed out of the laundry room.  Explaining that if they were going to ruin the new couch then they might as well just leave him there because his wife waited years to get that sofa and if he ruined it she would kill him. 
    42 yrs old. DS born 4/10/11 after 2 losses TTC # 2 for a year AMH .3. FSH 7 AFC 6 Doing a CLOMID IUI cycle
