Another AW PIP and link to pattern

image

I modified it to how I like them, but here's the site.  Another mama on here posted it the other day.

I used the newer soaker pattern. :) I made 2 others, but the big ones (for DD1) don't look at cute as the little ones.

  • silly question, but the leg cuffs and waistband... just regular ones you bought, or they have to be wool, too?

  • I used the sleeves of another wool shirt I bought at goodwill. I'm not sure that it all *has* to be wool, thats just how I did it.  I would love to hear another answer to this. :)
  • Loading the player...
  • they're just too cute!

if you felt frisky, I'd love to see a pik of the inside seams, how you got them to be nice and flat? (not bulky)

It's best for them to be wool. You *could* use a poly material, like fleece. But since the cuffs will contact the diaper a little, if you use fleece, you'll lose all the wonderful properties of wool -- the fleece cuffs will get stinky and need to be washed, even if the wool body is fine.

You definitely wouldn't want to use cotton or another absorbent material, because that would wick moisture right to the outside.
