Candy theme party - need game ideas

My DD's 3rd bday party is this weekend and I'm usually more on top of the planning for their parties but I am completely last minute with the games/activities for the little ones.

We do the girls parties here at the house but have a big back yard with playset and a blow up bounce house so they can bring some energy off ;)  We only do family and a few friends with little ones (no school pre-K friends or neighborhood friends) so I only have 10 little ones (ages 1-6) to entertain.

Im thinking pin the lolli on the pop? Maybe some kind of jelly bean (balloon) sack races? I don't want anything too involved ;) Thanks!

Re: Candy theme party - need game ideas

  • A lollipop tree - like the one they have at carnivals?

Set out some candy land board games?

Instead of drop clothespins in a jar you could drop hershey's kisses?

    Pinata?

Guess how many candies in a jar?

Pick up one of those halloween gingerbread house kits?

  • There are some websites with ideas for making a life size Candyland game.

Or an obstacle course with life sized candy.

I made lickable wallpaper one year. I melted jolly ranchers in the oven and painted them onto fruit wallpaper scraps. To avoid germs, I attached individual 12"x12" wallpaper squares to foam board and trimmed them in ribbon. i wrote each child's name on the ribbon and sticky tacked them to the wall. after everyone spent 10 minutes licking, I removed them.

I am Turkey Lurkey... b/c it sounded better than Cocky-Locky.
  • Loading the player...
  • Candy bouquet scavenger hunt. To make it easy for different ages, print sheets with pictures of different types of candy. You can either hide the actual candy attached to popsicles sticks or just use pictures. Give each child a plastic flower pot with floral foam in it to put the sticks in.
