So glad this post is up. I really need some help finding something for my Penny to wear as she greats trick or treaters at the door. lol I'm having a bit of a hard time, mostly because all of the cute costumes tend to be for tiny dogs and Penny is a mid-size beagle cross.
Love it! Brutus has a little pumpkin T-shirt that I occasionally make him wear. He also has a little monkey costume, but he HATES the little monkey-eared hat, and it kinda loses the effect without the hat.
That is so cute! I've never seen this one before. Seems like most dog costumes are the same anymore. I wish there was an easy way to make a diy costume like this. DH would get upset if I dressed our macho french bulldog up so I can't justify spending money on one.

I can probably get our dog, Oscar, to wear a costume, because he likes to wear clothes. As for my cats, Supercat (girl) and Jimmy Jam (boy), I'm not so confident. Supercat may let me put one of those hats on her, but Jim is anti-clothes/collar.

hahaha that just made my afternoon! First my DH would disown me and then my dog would roll his eyes at me. He can't stand clothes other than his big brother shirt because he thinks that people are excited about him, not the shirt.
I love it!!!! We have a Boxer named Max that we dress up every year. Last year he was a "pimp" and everyone got a kick out of it. This year I'm dressing up as a pregnant 50's housewife and DH is going as the milkman. I found Max a mailman costume from Old Navy that kind of goes along with the theme
Aw the first two are super cute. Mine was not that cute..and the stupid thing was too little becuase it had a horse head that goes on but wouldn't fit.

I love these ideas! My Beagle is going to be a Bee. She was a cow last year. Normally she has no problem with sweaters but whenever I put her in a costume she hangs her head in shame LOL
Oh my god that's incredible - I've never seen a chia dog before!!
I was horrible last year when I walked into target on a completely unrelated mission and stumbled upon their Halloween pet section. When I saw they had large sized costumes, I just couldn't resist:
Edit: Could somebody please explain to me how to resize photos?? Ugh, sorry about the ginormous photos!
A bunch of grapes:

Prince and princess: Mind you, they are both boys... but I was DYING when I put the pink unicorn on!!
In some countries, this has got to be a form of animal abuse!

We aren't dressing ours up for 2 reasons: 1. its nearly impossible to find something in their size that doesn't cost $$$ (they're 150lbs mastiffs) and 2. they will be sleeping through Halloween this year when I take the girls trick or treating in a friend's neighborhood (DH will be OOT).
