Hi! I'm new. :)

I thought I'd introduce myself: I'm Kristal, and my husband and I have a little boy that is a year and a half.  We've recently decided to foster with the intention of adopting.  We do not have any IF issues and we do plan on having more biological children, but right now, we feel a strong call to adopt, so that is the path we are heading down.  We've got our paperwork submitted and will be starting our foster parent classes later this month.  We're a bit nervous about all the unknowns, but overall, are very excited about this journey!

    Welcome! We are also doing foster care and it seems we are on about the same timeline.

    Oh, I guess I should have looked at the dates more closely. :)

    Our program is called STARS.  Have you started your classes yet?  We start later this month and I'm completely clueless as to what to expect.

    We are doing RAFT, we start on Nov 12, and by Nov 19 we start taking respite. This month we are doing our individual/couple interview and our final homestudy. I have no idea what to expect either. :-
