Yes, it's an off white with a gray tone to it. When I was looking at the stroller, the woman who worked at the store said she has Diamond and would not recommend it cause she said it's so dirty now. I'm planning on getting the onyx/purple one. Good luck!

My thinking was that it's such a good price that it might make up for how easily dirt will show. Plus a light colored stroller would show up better if you're out at night.

I was thinking this too. SO TORN!! Ugh.
Did you see the price on the Britax B-ready? It's even less and might be more dirt friendly because it's tan. I just don't like the way that the bottom seat looks so buried.

I'm debating the diamond one too. I will say that allbeebaby had the uppa baby maya color on sale (a yellow color) a while ago and I bookmarked it. It's discontinued and they still have it on sale at least 6 months later. I wonder if they are getting rid of the diamond color.
I'm probably mixing up the reviews/specs but does the city select have washable covers?
i know a few people with that color and they love it - it's more gray then it looks online.... sure- it will get dirty- but really any color does... i have red and i just wipe it down with wipes after each use - and it's fine.
i LOVE my Select- highly recommend it.... and other than new colors- no changes were made between the 2011 and 2012.
I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.
Suggestion from a lurker! We have the BJCS, and got ours at the end of the model year. Ours is a 2010, and we ended up getting a killer deal, SO if you can wait a couple of months, you could probably get a good deal on a color you want!

can I ask how does it do on uneven terrain? where we live the sidewalks are old and cruddy, so sometimes a regular stroller is difficult. I know it's not a jogging stroller but is it ok on rough sidewalks/streets? or something like a soccer field?

It's just okay on uneven sidewalks. Not great, but not terrible. Better than a Maclaren would handle but not as well as a BOB. It's also okay on grass. Not the best but not the worst. It's a good hybrid though if you need a stroller that can go from the mall to the outdoors.

i agree... it's certainly not the best for bumpy terrain - you want an all-terrain stroller for that, with all big tires... but it isn't horrible either.
If i could only have one stroller- my Select would be the choice. I have a Valco Trimode Twin I use for bumpy terrain, long walks, etc.

I cannot rave enough about this stroller! Love it but will end up getting a BOB as well for running and rough terrain. i got mine last February on clearance for$450 I believe and I had my choice of colors so if you can wait, do it. Also, spring for the carseat attachments! I did and will never regret it!!!

Re: PSA: baby jogger city select
I saw that too. It's very tempting.
