Just thought I'd share...as a FTM I thought I was crazy/vain for shaving and tidying down there once my due date got close. But I'm really really glad I did. After birth there was so much going on down there with bleeding etc (plus I needed stitches for a tear) and it was easier to deal with that sore/tender region without a forest of hair getting in the way. PLUS there is no way I'm going near that region with a razor now, with things still healing. So I'm glad I did it before giving birth. Just one woman's experience but figured I'd share!

Re: 2 weeks postpartum - glad I shaved down there
after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!
IT'S A GIRL!
#2 EDD 2/5/13 dx with anti-BIG E antibody, seeing a MFM
I don't take one single minute for granted.
I did the same thing last time and intend to do so this time too.
To PP, the regrowth wasn't an issue for me, but I was d@mn glad to not have that in the way in the first week or two!
ITA! Last time I got a bikini wax and got close to the goods and then my entire bikini line. I did the rest by hand and it was so much easier to maintain while everything was healing.
I also trimmed everything back with clippers (what was left in the front).
And as dumb as it sounds, when I pushed with DS I watched in a mirror (helped me progress since I could see the "goal") and it was nice to see his head of hair instead of a jungle....lol.
you shave EVERY day? I dont have enough regrowth for that (legs and armpits) I only trim and neaten up the ladyparts.
" Does the hair growing back "poke" you down there though?"
I'm just a random lurker, but I thought I'd answer your question for you since no one else had hehe. I always use veet (I know, they say not to, but honestly shaving hurts and veet doesnt) Anywho, I only ever get bumps or any kind of discomfort if I wear lacey underthings. Fully grown out is more 'pokey' and itchy for me than clean off.
Lol, yes, I shave everyday. Stubble annoys me. I'm not a gorilla, I promise
