I use m/s as an excuse to get out of things even though I don't have it at that moment... working from home, not going to a b-day party, not visiting a relative, not cleaning or cooking... I do believe in karma and I have had my share of m/s!
Glad I'm not the only one
Oh I do the same. It is even better once baby is born, I used to use BFing as an excuse to escape my ILs!! Haha I would say he needed to nurse and go hide in the bedroom! Just for a break and snuggle. LOL What they didn't know is I wasn't shy and would BF anywhere! opps

Dipping fries is only acceptable at Wendy's, with a Frosty, when you're drunk or hungover.
Last night a friend and I went to a burger place and there were mashed potatoes fried into little fritters w herbs and gruyere inside. I had one -- it was soooooooooooo good. It made me want fresh made mashies.
i hate it when people ( my SIL last wknd) say something when they think youre eating something you shouldnt when pregnant. I was at a restaurant with DH, MIL, and SIL, eating a salad with PASTEURIZED goat cheese and she says "WAIT! you cant eat soft cheese!"...::head desk::: So i said, thats not true...thats just hype people create and you can eat ANY cheese thats pasteurized and btw...DH is an OB so do you REALLY think hed let me poision our child with a questionable food?
Oh gosh, I'm waiting for my 8:15 puke session so I cannot talk gravy right now. My UO is that I loathe the carseat infant carriers. That thing was the bane of my existance when DD was a baby. I'm tiny and weak and it was a huge hassle. I may have to trade my XC90 for a minivan for a few years because strapping DD into her seat is already straining my stomach and I don't think that come March I will be able to lift her up into the seat...we are working on teaching her to climb up.

My perfect boy was born at 2:23am, April 22, 2012.
I think the media coverage of Steve Jobs' death is a little over the top. Yes he was an innovator and yes he did great things for technology and yes its awful that he lost his life so early to such an awful disease... but C'MON!

I think half the stuff at Babies R Us is useless crap. Every time somebody asks me if I am going to get my baby a monogrammed light projector that plays music and I say no, they act like I am sentencing my child to a life of hardship and privation. WTF.

Same here! We just got a Toyota Sienna since we'll be having #3 in April and the Camry wouldn't of worked for us, no regrets, although DH would rather have an SUV

I think that avocados on top of cheese pizza is delicious!
add bacon, spinach and jalapeno and you have my favorite pizza (especially from MM or CPK)
Omg that sounds so good. I haven't been able to find properly ripe avocados around here for ages and it gives me the sads. They're either rock hard, or black and mushy. I know the green ones will get there, but when I'm shopping for an avocado it's because I want now!
Also, ditto the legging/tights not being pants. I don't want to see your crotch.
I like to dip grilled cheese in grape jelly! Yummmy
And I LOVE my minivan
I do not understand the pull of jelly on anything but a peanut butter sandwich. People would come in Sonic when I worked there and ask for grape or strawberry jelly with their sausage, egg and cheese toaster. Say what? Made me gag just thinking about it.
OMG blackberry jam on a sausage biscuit is the best use of jelly EVER!
I don't understand telling your SO about a BFP in a cute, creative way. IMO, it is silly and pointless.
I have to agree with this.
I can see how it would be fun, but ffs don't wait DAYS or WEEKS like that one chick on first tri...
I woke up my husb and he was so not into it at first. I couldn't even wait 5 minutes to let him adjust to being awake, haha.
I did think about a cute way to tell my parents, since these will be their first grandchildren, but we just came out with it, haha. It was important to me to tell them in person, though, that we were pregnant. The twin thing we called them about!

It might be a little much, but at least it is for someone who has made serious contributions to our lives and was an innovator. Remember how much coverage Anna Nicole Smith's death got?
All of this talk of jelly on breakfast foods made me think of how my dad cooked breakfast sandwiches when I was a kid: fried egg on toasted sesame hamburger bun with strawberry jelly. I haven't had one in years, but that sounds so good to me right now that I think I'm going to run to the store for supplies.
Lina, I don't think your food combos are too unpopular. I've seen cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto at most of the summer weddings I've been to. Watermelon feta salad has been the trendy summer salad at restaurants around me the past few years, which makes me so happy in the pants! I love making it at home with a little fresh mint. SO GOOD!
I absolutely HATE HATE HATE ketchup - the smell of it, the sight of it, blech. If it touches my skin, I have to scrub it off. If my husband eats it, he must brush his teeth and wash his face before coming next to me. HATE.
On the other hand, one of the most delicious things is a toasted onion bagel with peanut butter and bacon....ohhhh, YUM!

I think there are going to be a lot of disappointed people who are putting 100% faith in their "gender determination" at the NT scan (not just on this board). To see it as just a fun guess and look forward to hopefully finding out at the anatomy scan is one thing, but to say "it's a boy/girl!" and announce it to the world at this point seems crazy. I also don't understand the "she said she's only been wrong 2 times!" stuff. I know a lot of people (most?) have to go to outside centers for the NT scans and never go back there. How does the sonographer know he/she is never wrong unless someone goes out of their way to call them and tell them? It's not like the sonographer in your OB's office who you see more often.

I'm sorry, but I must shun you. I love ketchup.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.

I agree with this. I'm glad they didn't even guess or anything (have a policy against it). I would be really upset if they said one way at the NT scan and then it was different.

Ditto this, and I'm not talking about mamacrazypants. I'm waiting for the day I feel real biitchy to say what I really want to them.
I have another one.

Mamasaurus reminded me of another.
I think 95% of bedding sets are flat out fugly (and completely useless).
ETA: I originally said 90% but I think that number is a little low.
Amen.

YES! thank you for this!
No worries. The Sienna is a total swagger wagon.

I completely agree on the bedding sets!
I've worn leggings w/ my butt showing!
I have to agree with this.

That sounds so good. I live 20 miles from the Canadian border. I think I need to get my passport out.
ETA: This was suppose to quote the poutine post.
I love this one! And guilty, as well!
AMEN!!!! I never wear leggings...in fact I don't own a pair, but I hate hate hate seeing your butt not covered!! It does not look good!!! I promise!

These types of posts are only interesting if you name names.
Especially in an UO thread that is filled with talk of food.
I think it will all come out when we get good and bitchy in our 3rd Tri. haha!
