They had interviewed a random person outside of an Apple store yesterday (not sure where), and she said as soon as she heard of his death, she went right down to the store to do "something, like light a candle or bring flowers." I know he was instrumental in personal computing and communication, but come on.

I totally agree. I had a bunch of friends with RIP Steve Jobs facebook statuses! Totally corny. (oh God, If it was any of you I'm sorry, lol)
I agree. It is sad, and he was extremely innovative, and changed the industry, but he was also VERY sick, and hadn't had a hand in the company since the beginning of August. I do feel bad for his family and co-workers.
It's sad to think about what else he could have come up with, if he were still alive. The local news made an interesting point... most of us probably heard of his death via an apple computer, ipad, iphone or ipod. That says a lot!
I think that he impacted our lives more than we know....DH said he used to own Pixar too, and sold it to Disney for a bazillion dollars. He was a genius.
