i turn 41 this month and I am 7 weeks. Spent my 39th and half of 40 with RE with IUIs and 2 IVF treatments. We got pregnant on our own after giving up on treatment. My first IVF did produce an etopic pregnancy. So, it's all possible given your old eggs :-) Good luck!
My husband has motility and morphology issues which is why we have to do IVf/ICSI. How about you? We conceived our 22 month old naturally ( I was 38). Now I am scared because I turn 41 the end of this month and will be doing another round of IVF the end of Nov./Dec. when I get my AF.
I am 43 and pregnant w/ my own crusty eggs. I did have 3 blighted ovums prior to this pregnancy. But I had a successful pregnancy in 1998 w/ my son. On another note, I was a surrogate for my sister (her eggs) and gave birth to her twin girls that will be 10 yrs. old later this month. She was born w/out a uterus.

I turned 40 in March. We had a Chemical Pregnancy that month, and then got pg again in July; both were without any help with my own eggs, despite needing an RE's help (IVF) for our first. GL - !!

We saw 2 REs, who both pushed donor eggs from the first meeting. (I was 36 at the time & hadn't yet had any type of work-up!) Needless to say, we were not impressed with these doctors. After several losses, I went to my OB for RPL testing & was found to have MTHFR. I started taking baby aspirin as well as additional B vitamins. We conceived naturally when I was 38 & again on my 40th b-day.
Even though doctors can spread doom & gloom about being AMA, conception after 40 is definitely possible. GL w/your IVF!

I conceived naturally just after I turned 40 and am now 7 1/2 weeks pregnant.
I finally got pregnant my son when I was 37 almost 38 after 3 1/2 years of infertility. We conceived the month I was put on meds for PCOS, and had an HSG, which found a blocked tube. Plus I was temping, using a fertility monitor, and ovulation sticks. So, I don't know if which one of these things or all of them resulted in us conceiving, but the end result was the same!
I got pregnant just after getting married at 40. Was told that based on blood work we would probably need to see a fertility specialist to have help starting a family. DS was born last October, Currently 42 and pregnant with #2! Conceived while still breastfeeding, even Who knew?!?!? We are definitely blessed.

I just turned 40 in September (a humbling experience made better by lots of cake) and I am 14 weeks pregnant with my first kid. Both this pregnancy and my first pregnancy (we got pregnant after only 3 months of trying, but it unfortunately ended in a miscarriage at 9 weeks--had a D&C in June) are with my own eggs, and were achieved the old fashioned way (just having a lot of fun with the hubster to be). My mom was 40 when she had me, and I think the old "fertility aid" she and my dad used was a bottle of wine.
I am a big fan of alternative treatments and natural supplements. I do acupuncture, and during the brief interim between the D&C and this pregnancy, I drank red raspberry tea, took two teaspoonfuls of royal jelly a day, supplemented up the wazoo (green tea, evening primrose oil), and did yoga for fertility. Whether it's just my DNA or these additional measures that got me pregnant again so quickly, who can say, but I liked the feeling of empowerment I had when doing my alternative stuff. Sort of like "Okay Body, we are in this together!"
Wishing you the best of luck!
Me: 42, DH: 40; Surprise BFP 4/27/2011; no heartbeat at 9w3d, we miss you, Baby Manatee; D&C 6/1/2011; AF returned 6/26/2011; Ready to try for our take-home baby. 7/24/2011--BFP! Peanut born March 2012; BFP: 7/31/2013!; blighted ovum at 7 weeks 8/26/2013. Holy Cannoli! BFP 2/23/2014. EDD 11/6/2014!

This sort of describes me, too. I'm 42 and conceived naturally for both of my pregnancies (lost the first earlier this year, working on the second!). Losing the first was sort of a spiritual wake-up call for me. I realized how much I was putting my body down, calling my eggs "dusty" and "old." I decided to give that up and have tried really hard to be kinder in the way I think about and talk about my body. Maybe that sounds kind of woo-woo? In any case, great to see so many other 40+ mamas-to-be out there. Sending love and good vibes out to us all.
Oh - and I highly recommend the book "Making Babies" which discusses the pros and cons of IVF versus non-western infertility methods. I credit it with helping me avoid IVF.
40 and pg naturally. 2 months of trying. I have a really regular cycle. I didn't temp or use any OPKs. Just tracked my cycle for years. Really glad we used b/c between DS and this one, otherwise I might have 2 under 2. Reading everyones stories, I feel really blessed.

Just turned 43 and pregnant with own geriatric eggs and unexpected surprise. This will be our 3rd, oldest are 19 and 14 yo, no miscarriages or assistance. We know what happens if we get too careless, but forgot to calculate! It's truly a blessing.
42, an ivf participant, and pregnant with my own egg.
I was fortunate (?) with 1st ivf cycle after 6 failed iui. Currently 14 weeks and aside form morning sickness, no issues. I do find it interesting tha i keep thinking of myself as high risk because of age, but doctor has me on typical visit schedule. At least for now. I did do an early GD test due to family history, but htat's it so far.
Got pregnant with my own egg at 41. I'm 42 and 14 weeks.
That said, we were surprised, because we'd tried for a couple of years and even did three rounds of IUI with injections and femara or clomid and had no luck.
I gave up on my 41st birthday and less than a year later I was and am pregnant.
Yupper, got pregnant with my own eggs at 42..will be turning 43 in Spt...baby due in Oct. This was not a planned pregnancy and we have never tried to conceive. We were unsure if we wanted children or not and when I hit 40 I thought..."well, guess we are not having kids". Me, not being a big medication person missed a few pills and wammo...preggers. I'm 5 weeks and seeing my High Risk Dr. tomorrow. I knew I was not the only person out there who was having babies after 35, but it's nice to know that I can chat with others here...since my friends are all 10 yrs older than me and kids grown and gone...lol...wait till they here the news..lol. Best of luck moms!
I am was 42 when I delivered my 2nd (11/22/11 (my own egg)). My first child is now 21. I am thinking of trying for another one in about a year. I am healthy and try to eat the right foods and exercise. My only concern is that I have had c-section deliveries and it scares me to think of having a third at the age of (to be or will be) 44....
I turned 44 on March 2nd and found out I was pregnant 4 days later. This will be our first! First prenatal visit is this Thursday. We think (LOL) I'm about 8 weeks along... Never even considered IVF. Always said that if I couldn't conceive naturally, we'd adopt. We're thrilled! Hoping all goes well...
I will be 42 in a couple weeks, pregnant with my own eggs. Did not choose IVF, went a trial of clomid first and had a BFP on cycle 2. My family has a history of later prgenancies. My grnadmother married at 39 and had four children. My mother had her tubes tied after my brother was born when she was 41yo. So.... I figured I had a better chance than the 2% the RE gave me.... :-) Good Luck!

It is possible. I am 43, just got off the pill in 2014, and got pregnant after our first month trying! I was shocked! I went to see an OB when my husband and I decided to try, and she referred me to a fertility dr due to my age, but I could not get in for 6 weeks, and I got pregnant that month. Needless to say, I did not go see that dr. This is a wonderful blessing. I also did the new 10 week blood test M21, and all is well.Good luck to you.
Every pregnancy was with my own eggs. I took prenatal before conceiving and co q 10 last time after losses. Just made me feel better. Never done anything other times! Good luck!
Im 41, turning 42 next month. I was able to get pregnant w my own eggs. I took pre natals for three mon and drank alkaline water.i was just about to start clomid when i got pregnant.
So nice to see so many 40+ preggers out there. Im 6weeks with #3 my own eggs, but terribly scared. I had a MC in June and don't want the same thing to happen.
I'm 41, due January with my first child, with my own eggs. Had 2 MCs last year. In May, I emotionally accepted that maybe this is not my fate and future and I became OK with it. Then BAM! I found out I was pregnant.
@chucktgirl , oops. I dont usually delve very far back as I am mobile... dont know how I caught a 2 yr old post up front.... thanks for the reminder, I try to watch original post dates, guess that one slipped past me. Sorry :-(
I am also 40 and pregnant with my own eggs. I did start taking prenatals and folic acid right when we decided to try. I also drank red raspberry tea. We conceived the first month, although I miscarried 3 months later we found out I was pregnant again which was a surprise because we were actively not trying to let my body heal. I am now in my last trimester
People told me at my age I would need to see a specialist and gets my eggs checked etc etc. I think the best thing to do is relax, believe in your body and not stress.
Good luck
I'm 42 and I am pregnant with my second child. It came as a complete shock because I only had 2 periods a year since the birth of my son when I was 36. Everything's going great and all the major tests are negative which is good. I even met another lady who's having her first child (without assistance) at the ripe old age of 46. We're thinking about starting a support group The Golden Mom's Club. Amazing how dusty eggs can be hydrated up and put back into action!
Got pregnant with No. 1 at 41 without any prenatals or any other "help", and same for No. 2, at 43 (44 and 3 weeks from delivery!). I consider myself VERY lucky that my wrinkly old eggs have produced two healthy pregnancies! Also, DH is 49, so his "swimmers" are old, too...
