Is there a BLW discussion board somewhere? I just read a little about this and thought I'd get more info. I know everyone says to wait until 6 months -- does the LO have to have teeth fist? Are there concerns about choking? What are good foods to start with (veggies steamed to almost mush?) Also, I know our pedi says to give a single food for 3 days to make sure there aren't any allergies, how do you monitor this with BLW if the LO is eating what you are eating every night? Thanks in advance.
Baby doesn't need teeth (my BIL didn't get those until 11 months!), choking is unlikely if you let baby feed himself and don't give really dangerous foods (nuts, uncut round things), you don't worry much about introducing foods 1 at a time. Honestly, it seems so mellow and low stress it is right up my ally. Most parents also say it removes the food fights once baby becomes a toddler.
Re: Baby-Led Weaning questions?
I got the book from the library. If you're considering this, it's a great read.
