Hi ladies,
So I am in my first cycle off the pill and charting, which has been a bit of a disaster (dumb things like waking up a couple hours before I need to temp, my thermometer breaking, etc). I honestly have no idea whether I have O'd yet or not since I haven't seen EWCM. I had read in TCOYF that being on the pill damages your cervical crypts, but it wasn't clear about how serious that is and how long they can take to repair. I got a little nervous since I have been on the pill for 10-11 years and checked with Dr Google and the sites I found make it seem like it can take years for them to repair. So I guess my question is, can you conceive without EWCM? I'm not worried right now since it is our first month TTC but if there is a problem I would like to nip it in the bud. I also came across a supplement called FertileCM that had good reviews....worth it or is it a gimmick? And lastly, could anyone clarify for me whether PreSeed actually helps the sperm swim through the cervix or whether it is just a "neutral" that won't damage the sperm? I really appreciate all the great advice and info I have received here already! I haven't posted many responses yet since I am still getting up to speed on everything thing but I hope to be able to contribute soon
Re: Damage to cervical crypts?
I was on the Pill for just three years, but since going off it in May have only had one day of what I consider EWCM. It's a lot less than what I saw prior to going on the Pill. Whether it's due to the Pill's effects on the cervical crypts (and yes, I'd heard the same thing you had about that negative little side effect) or my age (now in my early 30s), I don't know. I do have watery CM, though.
I searched the Fertility Friend charts. Thirty-three percent of the charts with no EWCM are pregnancy charts.
