Never saw those specifically, but I have heard of people writing their phone numbers with a sharpie on a kid's arm, like at the county fair or someplace like that.
Actually, my mom is a principal and these are from one of her child's parents!
She gave me several packages when DD was born. I was thinking it would be perfect if we go somewhere crowded once she is a bit older and possibly may wander off.
When I took DD #1 to the White House Easter Egg hunt they had bracelets like the kind you get when you pay a cover charge at a bar, sort of like a paper hospital bracelet, and they had Sharpies and they encourage parents to put the bracelet on the kid and write your mobile number on it. It was such a simple concept and yet I'd never thought of that.
Depending on how hard it is to get the tats off the skin, I'd seriously consider buying them - though - I'm also thinking that you could just buy a bunch of cheap bracelets and use them when you go out.
For the WH egg hunt it was brilliant because that is definitely a place where a kid could run off while your back is turned. We don't frequent amusement parks, but they'd be a prime place to use them. Heck, I lost track of DD #1 one time at that Clemontrji park (or however the heck you spell it) and about lost my mind. I would like to think if a parent found her they would call my mobile phone.
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
Re: Safety Tat?
interesting - can I ask why? I'm not sure I see the downside.
