....trying to feed DS2 (3.5 months) an animal cracker! Oh boy. I had to explain to him that it was VERY nice that he wanted to share but that the baby cannot eat food because he doesn't have any teeth. Oh man.
I am very worried about this when my second comes. DD1 is reallyinto "sharing" with us and her dolls right now. We might have to go back to snacks at the table only for awhile.
My 19 month old tried to feed my 2 week old an animal cracker yesterday. I had the same talk with her - love that she wanted to share, but baby sister can't have big girl food yet! She started sharing with her teddy bear after that, LOL.

Oy! DD1 is all about sharing, and I find it so hard, having to tell her "no" when she wants to share her food with her little sister. Luckily, she understands the concept that babies drink "baby milk" and nothing else, so that hasn't been too much of an issue...
Yea... I am relieved my DS is at an age where he can chew. I had to watch DD like a hawk when DS was itsy bitsy.
Now I just have to make sure DD doesn't give him allergenic foods like peanut butter and chocolate. She likes to pass things to his high chair tray when she sees that I have given her something that he doesn't have. She always says "and for the baby?!?!?!" when I give her something and fail to give it to him too .

This is too cute. And yeah, I've been trying to redirect to the toy sharing instead. And never leaving the baby w/in reach while DS is snacking )
