I had one 5 months ago. It was a wonderful experience and I'm so happy I decided to go for it. Holding my son while he took his first breaths and got his first look at the world was simply amazing. I also cut his cord, which was pretty cool.

Yes I do have questions.... Thank you taking time to read and answer.
#1 why did you have a c/s in the first place??
#2 how long did you wait to have your vbac from your first c/s??
#2 how did your belly feel with pregnancy ????
#3 Were there any worries with delivery/ ut rupture??? That's the part that scares me. Cause how well did my inside heal with my c/s.
Any other input you have would be nice. Thank you.
I had a vbac in August. My birth story is in my blog (link in sig below).
#1 DD was OP and stuck.
#2 I really didn't have a choice, but they were 17 months apart.
#3 It felt fine and just like the first time.
#4 Obviously it is a risk, but the chances are slim. You just have to get comfortable with your decision and find a doctor who will support you. I almost chickened out but knew that I'd been waiting for the chance to attempt it for months and was getting that chance; so I went for it and it was the best decision I ever made. The delivery was amazing, as was my recovery.
DD was posterior and asynclitic. The OB tried to turn her manually, which she said usually worked, but DD would not budge. When she came out, she had a cone on the side of her head.
#2 how long did you wait to have your vbac from your first c/s??
I was not given a time limit of any kind. My girls ended up being 25 months apart.
#2 how did your belly feel with pregnancy ????
The same as before, for the most part. The scar did get redder and puffier during pregnancy, so it looked weird, but didn't feel different, really. There were occasional pains, but nothing major. It went back to normal afterwards.
#3 Were there any worries with delivery/ ut rupture??? That's the part that scares me. Cause how well did my inside heal with my c/s.
It wasn't a big concern, no. I knew it could happen, but it was not likely and even if it did happen, I had people around me trained to handle it. There is no such thing as a guaranteed 100% safe birth, whether VBAC or not, but I choose not to concentrate on the negative, while still being aware of it.
#1 why did you have a c/s in the first place?? "Failure to progress" I dilated to 4cm and never progressed further. They weren't willing to give my body time to labor because I had the same issue with #2, but he was born vaginally. I was more educated the 2nd time around and I was fighting them off to let me labor longer, and it worked! They diagnosed CPD after he (#1) was born when they saw his size. Obviously that is crap because I pushed out a baby the same size as #1.
#2 how long did you wait to have your vbac from your first c/s?? 2 years 8 months.
#2 how did your belly feel with pregnancy ???? I assume you mean the scar/incision site? It was fine, I didn't feel any differently than the first time I was pregnant.
#3 Were there any worries with delivery/ ut rupture??? That's the part that scares me. Cause how well did my inside heal with my c/s. I never once worried about UR, it really was the last thing on my mind. The chances are so small of having a UR, I was more worried about something else bad happening. During delivery, I honestly never once thought about it.
