yea there are exceptions. i like kathryn and madelyn a lot. and alyssa. but there aren't many others that fit the exception.

 A fellow Ashley! I hate going for coffee and getting "Ashlee" and "Ashleigh" written down on my cup. Most of the time Ys are just awful though. An acquaintance from high school has a daughter named Lylliean (Lillian).

Maybe the next trend will be to get rid of vowels altogether. Wntr, Cndc, Msn. They read just as well...
