Pamela (that's me!)

I was looking up the rankings of names the other day (was bored) and found that my name actually has ranked for the past 11 years. I'm pretty shocked. I don't know that I know any kid (or anyone younger than me, for that matter) named Pamela/Pam.

Granted, it was #985 last year, so it's not like there are a ton out there...but it was 447 as recently as 2003. I wonder why? I hope not because of Pamela Anderson... Sad

My friend's nanny's daughter is Pamela. I think she's 5 or 6. That's the only one I know IRL and if I remember correctly, her mother picked the name because she liked how it sounded in both English and Spanish.

There was a little girl named Pamela in my daughter's playdate group several years ago. I didn't even think of Pamela Anderson and it was around the time when she was more popular. I think it's a great name, although I probably wouldn't use it myself do to the vast array of favorites I already have. LOL
