Recommend your Donut Pillow

My colleague said I should get one.  This weekend my tailbone has been painful more than normal.  Since I sit alot during the day, i'm sure it gets worse.  There are not many reviews out there.  Not sure which i should get: a memory foam pillow, inflatable pillow or one you put in the microwave.  I currently have a heat pad on the lower part of my back.  Thanks in advance.

  • i would DIE without my pillow, so your colleague is right! i've had tailbone pain since halfway through week 17. it helps so much, you have no idea. if your having tailbone pain, totally invest/borrow one from someone. it's worth it - i use mine when i'm at work (i sit at a desk for 10 hours, and that hurts) and when i'm in the car!

    with that being said, mine is a hand me down pillow from my step-mother in law's mother, because the nearest store to buy one is over an hour away. i don't have any recommendations, but from my experience i'm sure any pillow will help. this hand me down, not very fluffy old one works WONDERS, so i'm sure any pillow ill help. i wouldn't go with an inflatable one though, go with one that's pillow like material. and my doctor recommended the heating pad too - it helps. he said to use it in 15 minute intervals and no higher then medium setting, and never on my belly. he said some doctors worry about heating pads, but no more then medium is not going to be hot enough to raise your core temperature and hurt the baby.

    This is the pillow that I use. I sit on it during the day and use it during the night when I'm sleeping to attempt to get comfortable. It is a wondeful pillow...it is filled with microbeads and 'remembers' the shape that you twist it into until you twist it another way. It's also great in the car to lay your head on if your not driving :)
