It's a boy -now need a name!

Here are some names we've thought of.  We love Landon and Lucas but neither are options for us (other family members have them, etc.).  We like names that do not have an obvious nickname (like William - Will, etc.).  The middle name will be Joel.

Our DS is Pierce so we obviously love the name. I don't think you should let a mn determine the fn you choose.  In my opinion, the flow of fn/mn doesn't matter when you are using a family mn.  We choice Dean for Pierce's mn and it was b/c we wanted to honor FIL. It doesn't flow great, but has grown on me and ultimately we call him Pierce so I don't think it really matters.  Pierce was the only name that both DH and I loved.  I also really like Grant, but couldn't get Dh on board with that one.  We are also considering Brooks for a 3rd.   Our names are often considered preppy on here. I don't think that's a bad thing.

I love your son's names!  I like the name Reed but it's too short I think to go with Joel as a mn.  DH doesn't like Grant and he offered Caleb as an option but I like Logan more but Corbin is growing on me.  I think it will ultimately be between them.  Lance is too similar to someone from my past so I think that might be weird so that's probably out as is Brady because I might be over-thinking but don't want the initials BJ even though it would be fn/mn.  Colin is my favorite but not sure how I would spell it yet - 2 l's or one - but H wasn't wild about it but it seems like he is more open to names now that we know it's a boy than before we knew for sure.

I also like Collin but definitely with TWO Ls! With one L I always read it like it says co-lynn (like your bowel. Gross)

I LOVE Brady that's my DS1's name. DS2 is Nolan for a suggestion and that doesn't have any obvious nn's. I also like Logan, Collin, and Pierce. Logan is number 17 though, I know SEVERAL Logans!
