Diaper Size... Another Question

At what age/weight did your child move to size 2's?  I have a TON of size 1's and I'm worried that I have way too many and NO size 2's... Does anywhere let you return/exchange diapers that are unopened for the next size up?  Otherwise, my friends with newborns are going to be in luck!  :)

Also, what is a pampers size 1/2?  I have two boxes of those in a "boy" print... Are they bigger than regular size 1's?  That would be great.

Re: Diaper Size... Another Question

  • My LO is 11 wks and probably could transition to a size 2. He is about 12 lbs. I am using up my 1's as they still fit him but are starting to get a little more snug. Walmart has taken some of my diapers for exchange, I haven't tried anywhere else. I was told Walmart was pretty good about it so that's why I went there. I am not sure of the answer to your last question. Good luck!

  • I got a pack of newborn size huggies as a shower gift- I took them to Target and explained I got them as a gift but my son uses pampers, and they actually allowed me to return them and gave me a store credit so I could get the right diapers.  I am not even sure the diapers were from target.  I just took them there to try it.  It probably depends on who you get  in customer service.  I also did hear Walmart basically takes back anything, they were going to be my next stop if Target didn't take them back.

  • I don't recall when DD#1 moved to size 2 diapers.  I think it was around 10 weeks. We used Pampers size 1-2, they were good for transitioning because there seems to be a big difference between the 1 & 2 sizes.  I would suggest holding on to the size one's for now and try exchanging at Wal-Mart when you know your baby has ourgrown them.  Also with DD#1 I think we used one large box of size- 1-2, so you may not want to get a lot of those.

  • Walmart will take back ANYTHING! I took all the diapers I didn't want back there, they took them no questions asked, and gave me the money on a gift card.

  • I have exchanged diapers at CVS and at Walmart with no problems--both times I wanted a different size and the customer service desks were fine with it, seems to be a common issue

  • DD moved to size 2 diapers pretty early 'cause she was blowing out size 1s, probably around 8 or 9 weeks. Whole Foods has a great return policy. They will take back even opened packs of diapers without a receipt for store credit. I had bought a pack of 7th Generation newborns that irritated DD's skin. WF took them back no questions asked.
