I'm pretty nervous, we have a temporary orders hearing tomorrow. XH is bound and determined that I will not receive maintenance and that CS is going to be little to nothing. I know that he doesn't have the power to decide how much the court will award, but it's just upsetting to know how little he is willing to do for us.
Does the judge give his decision right at the end or does he take a day or two before issuing it?
Re: Temp Orders Hearing Tomorrow
I doubt that your ex is a lawyer, so don't listen to the prattle that comes out of his mouth. He can want a lot of things, but that doesn't mean he is going to get it.
Do you have a lawyer? Has your lawyer run the numbers? Your income, Ex's income, amount of time spent with child, cost of medical insurance and day care? Those are all factors that will get plugged into a formula that will cough out a child support and/or maintenance number.
Don't let him rattle your cage.
We had court today, and I think it went well.
I do have an attorney, and she was very thorough and accurate stating all the facts of my situation.
XH's attorney was pretty rough on me and tried to make me out to be a "dictator" in regards to parenting time that X has had with the kids. I hope the judge saw through that but who knows.
At least that part is over for now. Now I have to wait for his judgement on Friday. He decided to take it under advisement. Ugh. I really wanted to know where I stand today, but I guess a few more days won't kill me.
