I posted the other night that we were moving LO from our bed to his PNP and that I was going to stop rocking him to sleep and holding him until I was ready for bed and put him in the PNP sleepy so he could put himself to sleep. Well that has been going ok.
LO only wakes up if he rolls on his tummy and can't get comfy (he likes to sleep on his side or his tummy) and he will cry, but if I roll him back to his side he falls right back asleep. So my question is, do I let him CIO and figure how to roll himself back (he can do it when he is awake), or do I just go in and roll him so he doesn't wake up fully? I have just been going in and rolling him because it seems easier than letting him cry and wake up fully, but I wonder if he will ever be able to do it himself if I keep doing it for him.

Re: Another sleep question
I'd leave him and give him some time to "fuss" it out. If he gets into a full out rage-cry (as I call it) then go to him and pick him up, soothe him and put him back down. Leave the room. This is Hogg's PU/PD method and it worked like a charm for my son.
If he's just wah-wah'ing and kind of fussing, let him go. Both of my kids are happier sleepers on their bellies. It took Cece a good week or so before she finally figured out that belly sleeping was "her thing." Now when she gets to her back she's MAD!! That's my issue right now.
