Babies on the Brain

Buenos Dias! (e)

Good morning ladies. How were your evenings?

Mine was okay. We went to buy the crib, which was discontinued so we had to go to another BRU, and it looked kinda cheap in person, so we didn't get it. I think we'll end up going with cribs4life instead. We went to Old Navy, and they had nothing cute on sale. Highlight of the evening was that H felt the baby for the first time. We went to bed at 9 and he started kicking all around so I put his hand on my belly and he felt him kick and roll all around. It was nice. :)

I feel like it's going to be super slow with all the people that left us to go have their babies and such.

  • Morning ladies! My night was good - we took the dog for a long walk, grilled steaks and caught up on tv off the DVR. Then we went to bed at 9 because we were both exhausted.?

Well, no. He didn't hear them. Stick out tongue

  • Erin- that is so great about him feeling the baby!

I went to a yoga class at my new gym, but it was actually pilates.  It was great though and I"m quite sore today.  They are also starting an advanced cardio dance class so I'm really excited about that.  After my class, I got us take out and we watched the Rays game.

  • Good Morning.

I have been MIA with work all week, but I think I'll be here today! (yay)

My night was so-so. I was on travel for work yesterday, and didn't get home until late. Felt pretty crappy from 8 hours in the car so I vegged out and went to bed early.

That's awesome your DH got to feel the kicks!

  • I'm sorry weelass. I hope you feel better.

Carly...good for you doing pilates. I don't know why, but I could never, ever do it. Yoga, yes. Pilates, no. I hated it!

  • Morning.. my night was quiet.. I am getting sick again so I was in bed by 8:30pm

I'm sorry. I got sick right around 8 weeks and was to scared to take anything. I know it is miserable. Feel better. Coffee <--- that's some hot tea.

  • I can't remember my nite because I am so jealous that you and DH get outside kicks. ?I've only felt them once and it was two weeks ago.

I'm gone this morning at yoga class and lunch with my dad. ?I'll be on this afternoon.

  • Mine was pretty good. Every two hours it is change, feed, burp, sleep rinse and repeat. She is doing awesome. We had a great nurse last night and she is latching like a champ! It hurts but I am so excited she is latching so well it only hurts at first then it is all good once she gets going. It is still hard though. My mom is coming up today from what she said so that will be exciting! Hope you are all well!
  • Aw monkey, I'm so happy for you.

  • MONKEY!!!!!! You are seriously the Nest poster girl. Nesting after less than 24 hours of giving birth. I'm glad things are going great. How are YOU feeling?

Kals...you'll feel them soon. Promise. Peanut is probably just bigger than Gote, which means your vagine will be happier than mine.

  • Thanks Heather! It is freaking awesome. DH and I are doing our school work now lol while shes sleeping. I am trying to cram stuff in before we go home tmrw. I am taking advantage of the nurses time and my food being delivered while I can lol. I am sure being at home will be much more time consuming with baby laundry and cooking etc.
  • Morning ladies!

Erin, YAY for DH feeling baby.  Boo for the crib looking cheap.  You'll find something nice.  Don't worry.

Last night I made spaghetti and meatballs.  Anthony was covered in it by the time he finished, so we played in a warm bubble bath.  For the first time ever, he got out of his big boy bed and ran back into the living room after we put him to bed.  He came in grinning and giggling, as if he suddenly realized that there was a party going on without him! LOL.  We cracked up and put him back in bed.  I guess I need to get a baby gate for his room now.  Oh, well.  It was a fun night.

  • Monkey - you're amazing! Congrats again on Chloe!!

It's okay, sweetie. For me that initial pain passed after about a week or less. If you can hang in there, it gets better. At least until their teeth come in, I suppose. So far not cracked or bleeding nips for me, but Kate latches on like hell might try to remove her - an assertive little girl already.

My night was not too bad. She went to bed earlier, but it was a hard-fought sleep. I ended up falling asleep in the recliner with her until about 3:30am, when I came to and transferred her to the crib and me to my wonderful bed. DH had already gone to bed since he's working today. Leaving me here with the 3 dogs, a new baby, and Verizon FIOS being installed/connected today (an event that might take 4-8 hours -- goodie).

  • MONKEY!!  Congrats, girl.  I cannot believe you are posting so soon after pushing that kid out of your vag.  I am impressed!  Way to go!
  • Congratulations, Monkey!  I am glad to hear that Chloe is doing well.  I am so happy for you!  Enjoy it.
  • Lol well I have tbh I think I really lucked out. I had a great labor and birth. Along with an awesome hospital, DH, and baby. I hear all the other babies crying all day and night and mine is just really doing well she cried about 3 times now about some pop in her diaper but thats it. DHs daddy skills really kicked in and he is remembering all the little tricks to make our lives easy. Along with him being super Dad and sensing when she has a dirty diaper. She is awesome at feeding ques too. I am really happy now she baked so long she came out really on top of her game with feeding.
  • Erin- Yay for DH feeling him kicking!
Monkey- Congrats on Chloe, wow you came back fast.

My night was very low key as always, ate, tv, and bed.

  • Katie, our FIOS took the full 8 hours. I came home to find DH chatting with one of the guys in the basement and the other guy lounging on our couch flipping through the channels. Eh, I guess after 8 hours he deserved a break.

  • I had a busy night... I ran to the store after work to grab some stuff I needed. Came home and started dinner and soup for lunches the rest of the week. DH had cleaned (I love him) and then had to go pick up some people for our small group. Once people arrived, I visited while still cooking soup and had snacks out for everyone. DH was late getting back. It was a good night though it went much later than I want the rest of them to go! Then DH had to take some people home. When he got back, we went to bed!

Congrats Monkey! Her hair is beautiful.
