Hello all!
I have been on Zoloft since 1/10, for PPD and PPOCD. Zoloft, along with counseling, has helped me tremendously. However, on my birthday I got a suprise BFP. I immediately stopped taking the Zoloft. It has now been 1 week and I can not figure out if this is normal morning sickness or withdrawal symptoms....either way, it is pure hell.
I am dizzy, 24/7, tired all day, and am getting those "electric shock" -feelings. I know I should have tapered off, but I panicked.
Has anyone experienced the withdrawal symptoms? How long will this continue and any tips to help alleviate?
This board has been so helpful....this is where I turned when I thought I had PPD...It was so reassuring to see I was not alone and there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Suprise BFP and Zoloft withdrawal
I too, have had moments where I have just stopped taking my meds and should have tapered off. I think it could be some withdrawl symptoms, but for some reason I'm thinking most likely morning sickness. Whenever I had just stopped taking them I only felt a little sick (upset stomach, headache) for about 3-4 days.
If you do decide that you want to stay on your zoloft through out your pregnancy that should be ok with most doctors. Please don't think that you have to stop taking the zoloft.
Oh and Congrats on your BFP!!! YAY!
