I like the name Evangeline. I think there would be lots of cute nicknames to come from it. IMO, Annabel reminds me of a name you would give a cow (no offense) but my DH grew up on a farm with a cow named Annabel so that's probably where it comes from. When picking my names I thought about what it would be like to be my age (31) and introduce myself to someone. Does the name sound like a CEO of a fortune 500 company? That's what I'm going with when picking my names.
Evangeline is so pretty on paper, and in theory. But the other day, I was in Walgreens and some Juicy-Couture-Velour-tracksuit-wearing-mom kept yelling "Evangeline! Evangeline, come here!" And it sooooooooo ruined it for me. Saying it out loud and talking to a real child, it just sounded so snooty and pretentious.
I actually like Annabel the best out of the three but I think Anabel is cuter. If you're going with one L you might as well go with one N.
Re: girl names... HELP!
(read it. you know you want to.)
anderson . september 2008
vivian . february 2010
mabel . august 2012
wow...4 boys, congratulations on your girl!
i don't love any of the names on your list, but if i had to pick, i'd go with viviana.
may i suggest: angelina, gabrielle, victoria.
IMHO, I don't care for any of the names you've listed, but if I had to pick a favorite of those three I'd choose Annabel.
I like Vivian or Vivienne much better than Vivianna.
Either way - congratulations on your first girl
