Des Moines Metro Area Schools

My husband and I are planning on moving to the Des Moines area in the spring. Which school districts would you consider to be the best? From what I know I am thinking Waukee but wanted other's opinions as well. Thanks!

    My husband graduated from West Des Moines and I think it was an amazing school district. He had really great experiences, both academically and with extra curriculars.

    I used to work for Urbandale school district, and I loved them. So they would get my vote too.

    Waukee is the overly crowded but good

    I think Ankeny CSD is much better than any schools in the Des Moines area. I would consider moving there.

    Those aren't DSM Schools, those are the suburbs. If you want DSM Schools, I'd look into Lincoln/South Side area.

    SEP is a good school too.

    I wouldn't move to Waukee, it's becoming big fast. Ankeny is huge, they just built another high school.

    Rosevelt is a good school too.

    If you go onto the DSM Knot board, there are more of us on there.
