s/o 2yo Twins being hard - 2yo PUKING twins = so much fun

yeah- they both have a stomach bug... Gray was up all ngiht puking... Gibby woke up from nap today puking all over his crib... after having a fever all day and hives all over his body.

How I love stomach bugs.... ugh.

I can say the one good thing is that I know my anxiety meds I started in July are working b/c I'm not that stressed out about this...  Last year when they started puking I had so much anxiety and would get so freaked out about it.... last night/today I'm just kind of like "yeah, here we go... this sucks" and dealing with it.

ugh. When they are older and i'm missing them as little kids- I will remind myself that they couldn't aim their puke into a bucket at 2yo... and be happy that they can when they are older (Griffin does it pretty good at 4yo, lol)

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • Ugh. I feel for you. I was up for half the night last night with ONE little 2 yo who couldn't sleep (seems like just a cold though) and that was rough. I hope you get some good sleep tonight!

  • I taught second and fourth grade for 11 years and never had a kiddo puke in my room.  It was my biggest fear and always told them to run and not bother telling me if they were going to be sick.

I had a strange 24 yr old man break into my mercedes and puke all over it a week ago tonight and I tried to clean that up...with q-tips.  ::::shakes head in disgust::::

I'd much rather clean the babies puke.  Poop and puke don't phase me anymore.

Hang in there Goldie.  It could be worse-I've learned the hard way.

  • I hope they feel better soon! My Griffin had a fever a few weeks ago, and I was so worried that he was going to have another stomach bug that I made myself throw up! The last time he had one, though, someone on the boards taught me to use a towel, and it worked well for him. In the middle of the night when he was sick, I held him wrapped up in a towel, which comforted him as if it were a blanket, and when he turned green, I just unwrapped it a bit and managed to convince him to throw up in the towel. It made clean-up a lot easier!

I did this too when both boys were sick for 2+ weeks this summer... we went through a lot of towels, but it worked!
