DD will be about 2 yrs 2 months when DS arrives. We already have the Chicco Cortina travel system and a Chicco umbrella stroller. If I run errands, I usually have my mom or DH with me or will run them before I pick up DD. We are trying to decide if we want to do the double stroller, just have DD walk, or bring 2 strollers along. If we got the double, we would get the Chicco.[Poll]

DS is 2 years 3 months... Has never been a big fan of the stroller. We only use it for big outings like the zoo. We are NOT getting a triple stroller.
For older kids, I really think sit and stand is the way to go! They can hop in and out as they please. I would not bother with a regular double stroller at this point.

I vote get an Ergo, if you don't already have one. You can wear the baby and push your DD in a stroller. It sounds like you have a lot of help and since you already have 2 strollers, you probably don't need a double stroller.
The other option would be a glider board that attaches to your current stroller, so your toddler can ride.

I didn't vote because to me, it depends on how often you use a stroller, period. I live in a large city and we walk or take public transportation everywhere (literally, the kids ride in the car maybe twice a month). DD1 just turned 2, and I am trying to have her walk more on our short outings, but when I'm alone with them, sometimes there is no substitute for having them both strapped into something and unable to get out and run away. I easily walk 15 miles per week with the stroller, so not only was it necessary that we have a double, but I needed one that is easy to maneuver. We wound up with a Phil and Teds Explorer (after four months with the BJ City Select).
Also, neither of my kids like being worn (I can't tell you how sad I am about this). If they did, we could easily get by with a single.
All that said, if you really won't be on your own with the two of them out of the house very often, AND if your other outings are to places where your older child can just walk alongside you (AND your older child is ok doing this), you probably don't need one.
I was afraid the sit n stand wouldn't work for us quite yet but I found a one they make that starts as a regular double and holds an infant carrier and then you can convert the back part into the stand part later.
