VBAC

introduction

I've been lurking here for awhile, so I thought I should introduce myself.  I had my son via emergency c-section in Oct 2010.  I labored at home for 27ish hours (halfway through that I went to my hospital's birth center where I was told to take a benadryl & go home).  Went to L&D the next day, got an epi, started pitocin & then my placenta began to rupture so to the OR we went.  I am convinced that if I had had better support my labor would have been shorter, drug free, and my son would have been born vaginally.  The midwives knew he was posterior and never encouraged me to try to get him turned around, so 30+hours of drug free back labor pretty much did me in.

We are expecting our second baby in May of 2012, and are planning a VBAC.  Right now we go between a homebirth and hiring a monitrice/doula and leaving for the hospital at the last minute.

Reading everyone's VBAC success stories is SO encouraging- thank you for taking the time to post them.
