Dumb Diaper Question

How old are LO's who wear #3 diapers?  (I guess the real question is how long will it take my DD to weigh 18lbs)

I'm about to go buy a big box, DD still wears 2's and was 15 lbs 7 oz at her last check up (6 months) I don't want to have too many diapers she's too big for... but I'm always running out because I think "Oh she'll be in 3's soon, just buy the small package" - yeah. brilliant me.

When did your LO start wearing 3's?

Q has been in 3's for a bit now, but he's a big boy at 21 lbs and 27 inches. We might have to move to 4s soon

It really depends on the baby. DS was only in 3s for a short time, probably when he was around your LO's size. He's been in 4s since at least 6 months and he's only slightly under 18 lbs. now. They just fit his body better.

How do the 2s fit on her? Are they still comfy or do they just fit? If it's the latter, I wouldn't buy a big box. You could also buy a small packages of 3s to try. If they're really huge then you know you've got some time (and you'll use the 3s eventually so it won't be a waste).

Every baby is definitly different. It feels like we jumpd right from newborns to 3's and have stayed at 3s for awhile. My sisters 2 1/2 year old twins are both in 3s also, so there really is no way to tell. Maybe buy a small package of 3s and see ho they fit Good Luck!

We're in 3's and have been for a long time.  C is about 20 lbs and I think we'll be in them at least another month.

We're in 4's and Ronan's 22 lbs, but he's got a bit of an odd shape to him and always outgrows them height wise before length. If I remember correctly, we've been in size 4's since about 6 1/2 months or so, and I think we moved into 3's around 4 1/2 months. I have a weird shaped kid.

My LO is still swimming in 3 diapers.  He's been wearing them for about 1.5 months now. He's almost 28" and almost 18 lbs.  Banana baby!  I'll be buying another Costco-size when we are out this weekend.  I'm not anticipating a change to 4s for a while.

DS turned 9 months today and is exactly 18 lbs.  He can still wear Pampers size 2 but I bought size 3 because I think they started at 16 lbs. They fit but have tons of room in them.

We started them close to four months and we are still in them. C is about 22 lbs right now. The upper range of the ones she has on now I think is 28 lbs, so I can see us wearing these for quite a long while.

Since he was about 4.5 months. We moved up a size a little early (he was only 16lbs, but the 2s were NOT containing things).

DD's been in 3's for a while now, I'd say at least 2 months. She hadn't reached the 18lb mark when we changed her, it was more about the fit.

We just moved into size 2s a few weeks ago, but M is tiny- only 13 lbs at her 6 month appointment. So we will probably be in size 2 until her birthday! I still am squeezing her into the size 1s that we have leftover... I bought some size 3s to try at night but they were huge on her! My SIL said her little girl wore size 3 until she was potty trained, so I guess its hard to tell- like PP said, every baby is just so different when it comes to size... I keep doing the same thing as you and buy the smaller packages so I don't have any left over and then running out... Ugh!

Hee hee, E's in 6s, and has been for awhile.

Like pp, we usually buy a jumbo pack of a new size before committing to an entire case.

mine has been in threes for about a month now.  we started them around 16 pounds.  she currently weighs 18.  i just ordered another case of 222, because i'm sure she'll be in threes for at least another month and a half.  it seems like three is going to be her longest-worn size thus far.
