  • I love my Gap demi panel. Worn them for all 3 pregnancy's.  They sit just under your belly.  They are most comfortable for me.  I don't like the full panel - that much fabric over my whole belly is not comfortable to me.

  • I loved the full panel.  The under belly ones drove me insane, I kept thinking they were falling down. The demi kept rolling over once I got later in my pregnancy.

  • I found them more comfortable at different parts of my pregnancy.  1st and second tri I'd generally wear demi panels, but by 3rd tri I was much more comfortable in a full panel.

I am only buying full panel this time around.

  • The advice I have been given is that when you get to be 7-9 months pregnant, the full panel is the best way to go because it provides support for your tummy.  I didn't think I wanted to do full panel, but it is probably going to be what I'll end up going with, just for comfort.  For now I'm just wearing my own jeans still, with bella bands and they've worked out wonderfully!

I don't think the full panel "supports" your belly. I found them to be pretty itchy (because your belly is so itchy anyway) it was nice because sometimes it felt like it helped my pants stay up. but I have to say I rolled them under my belly more often than not.

This exactly. Demi was great for months 4, 5 and a little bit of 6. But then as I got bigger, full panel was MUCH better. I kept feeling like the demi panel pants were slipping off at that point.

Also, I know some posters said their bellies started itching so full panel wasn't comfortable, but my belly never itched at all.

  • 2nd tri- i like demi (the full didnt fit right w/o a huge belly)

3rd tri - full panel (i carried low last time, but after a while the demi "cut in" right  where baby was and it really hurt. And if i wore them under the belly, they fell down)

I agree. Your body changes so much over the course of the pregnancy, different styles are better at different times. I loved under-belly at first, but by the end, only full panel worked. I'd just get a couple pairs now, and plan on getting more as you grow. Maternity clothes shopping is an on-going task. BTW, at the very very end, I only liked long dresses - nothing pushing on or anywhere near the belly at all.

  • I liked different fits at different stages of my first pregnancy, and I needed different sizes too. At the beginning I like full panel because it helped keep my pants up, but by the end by belly was so big I a full panel wouldn't go much above my belly button, so I loved the gap ones that went right below my belly. I suggest trying them on in the store if you can and only buying one pair at a time, because the pair I loved at the beginning were no longer working for more at the end of 2nd tri.
