I feel like this has been going on forever and I still am not any closer to a BFP than I have been the last 8 cycles. We met with our RE today following my lap (where he found mild endo) and basically he gave me more folic acid (for MTHFR) and progesterone (just in case) and said he wanted us to try for 3 natural cycles before moving to meds or anything else. We were worried about DOR but I have another CD2/3 bw next week sometime and he is going to do a follicle scan this cycle to check but doesn't seem alarmed at all by my levels and said my lap came back fab other than the endo. I guess I am happy that he isn't throwing the book at me now I just expected more. I feel like I have to go through 3 more BFNs then go back to him to even get close to a BFP. I am so frustrated, sorry for the rant, just not what I expected.

For putting up with my super whiney ass, have a chocolate martini on me - best of both worlds :)

Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
#1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
#1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
#1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
#2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    Ugh, I am a bad friend! I totally forgot about your appointment Sad If you pushed would he do interventions sooner (Clomid or Femara)? What if you ultrasound shows a low antral follicle count? I'm sorry he didn't have a good plan for you today*huge hugs*

    (((HUGS))) I'm sorry you didn't hear the plan you were hoping for.  I would be frustrated also.  I agree with Missa - could you ask for clomid or femara?

    I got sidetracked didn't meant to p&r Stick out tongue - I didn't ask him that because he seemed really confident that the endo was the problem and maybe progesterone (I never test after O b/c I find it way too stressful so I have no idea if I have had cps) but DH and I were talking last night and I think when I go back in for my antral follice count next cycle if this looks grim I will pretty much demand it. He initially mentioned these but after my lap seemed to change his tune...

    I had a lap after almost 6 years on no bc but also only actively "trying" for 3 months. We went because my period was getting unbearable (I can take pain too- 9 cm and totally effaced when given epidural). I have stage 2 endo and was offered clomid but declined because I knew I ovulated and things on that front would be fine. I ended up with a BFP after cycle 4 which to be honest was the first cycle those w/o endo would consider normal. As much as you want this, investigate what the drugs do to your body. I have many friends that were emotionally miserable and almost lost their marriage due to hormones. I hope the right decision comes soon so you have piece of mind.
    DD born 1/28/99 Second BFP 7/23/11 due 4/1/2012 miscarriage 9/2/2011 DNC 9/4/2011 BFP 2/3/2012 due 10/19/2012 mmc discovered 3/30/2012- d&c 4/3/2012 loss was around 9 weeks. Going through rpl testing. Dr. Suspects some type of blood clothing disorder. Current dx- endometrosis stage II and possible PCOS.

    I am so sorry you are frustrated right now. ((hugs)) I hope you are wrong about the BFNs though! I will have my FX for you this cycle.

    And thanks for the drink, it was yummy!

    BFP#1 12/18/10 EDD 8/28/11 | 2/14/11 discovered that our baby girl had anencephaly D&C 2/17/11 at 12.5 weeks | no O or AF post loss - Dx: AO + mild PCOS = secondary infertility Provera after 70 days = AF but no O | Provera + 50mg Clomid after 110 days = AF but no O 3 rounds of 100mg Clomid + Estrogen + Progesterone = mixed O results, all BFN hysteroscopy 1/6/12 - removed fibroid tissue injection cycle #1 - 75 IU follistim + ovidrel (triggered 2/9/12) + endometrin = BFP!     I am so sorry.  I can't imagine how frustrated you are.  You mention that your doctor gave you more folic acid.  May I ask, have you ever been on a prenatal containing L-methylfolate instead of folic acid?
